UBE Components and Weights

The Uniform Bar Examination is coordinated by NCBE and uses the Multistate Essay Examination, two Multistate Performance Test tasks, and the Multistate Bar Examination. UBE scores are portable only under the rules of the receiving jurisdiction.

Study Priority

  • MBE: build repeatable issue spotting and rule discrimination for multiple-choice fact patterns.
  • MEE: practice concise rule statements, focused analysis, and jurisdiction-neutral UBE doctrine.
  • MPT: rehearse file/library extraction, task framing, organization, and time control.

Operational Notes

Use this library as a prep map, not as a substitute for official jurisdiction instructions. Applicants still need to confirm application deadlines, local components, laptop rules, and passing-score rules with the jurisdiction where they apply.
